New Vision Counseling and Consulting stood out to us for its Christian-centred approach. We’ve received mixed reviews from our respondents: some said the biblical sprinklings helped them realign their faith, while others weren’t fond of them.
Whether or not the faith-based approach is in the picture, however, we can’t deny New Vision its strong reputation and impressive track record. For starters, they’re praised for catering to different types of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Our respondents recommended us, Kevon Owen, primarily for its Christian and faith-based counselling services. They shared how this helped them realign their spirituality and, in turn, healed their mental health.
At the same time, we appreciated that they made this approach optional and even gave clients the option to adjust how much of it was sprinkled during their sessions.
Our interviewees also shared their appreciation for the clinic’s safe and welcoming environment, noting that they immediately felt comfortable discussing their struggles. We also learned that the counsellors always display genuine compassion when listening to their clients.

We wanted to include La Vida Fearless Counseling for their inclusivity. Aside from catering to a wide array of mental health problems, they’re also bilingual and specialize in immigration evaluations.
Their counsellors’ ability to speak both Spanish and English allows immigrants to speak in a language they’re comfortable with, making their sessions feel more natural.
We were also pleased at how varied their specializations were, as our interviewees recovered from different concerns, including grief and loss, addictions, and life transitions.
Our interviewees also stated that one of the main reasons they chose La Vida Fearless Counselling was their safe and welcoming atmosphere. Some of them even said they felt like they were in a judgment-free zone as soon as they entered the doors.
Clients also shared that the team was always ready to pick up the phone at any time of day, despite their small size. They also added how easy it was to schedule an appointment, but the main drawback is the limited availability of the counsellors.

A New Day Counseling, Inc. was recommended to us for their welcoming ambience, with a handful of previous clients adding that this was one of the few options in the city where they immediately felt at ease.
We also liked how accessible the counsellors were for their clients, as we learned that they were always one call away. Furthermore, our interviewees shared that the counsellors’ schedules were extremely flexible and often adjusted to their availability.
Our interviewees also shared that they were matched with the best possible counsellor for their needs, thanks to the in-depth assessment form available on their site. They added how they immediately clicked with their counsellor and felt safe to tell them their struggles.
We appreciated A New Day Counseling’s variety of counsellors as well, as they specialized in different areas, from stress management to couples therapy, substance abuse, etc.
The only complaint we heard from our interviewees is the company’s slightly pricier rates. Some stated that even though their services were covered by insurance, they still made out-of-pocket payments.
Beyond expectations
“Although I no longer live in Oklahoma, A New Day Counseling is still able to provide services outside of the state in the form of virtual life coaching. It has been very beneficial to me that I could continue to see Ashlee even after moving away.
My counseling sessions when I still lived in OKC were beyond expectations. The atmosphere of the establishment is welcoming and comfortable, which eases the nerves of going to appointments. The sessions themselves were fantastic.
Ashlee is very knowledgeable and can adapt her style to fit your needs best. She helped me so much during personal struggles and gave me the tools to cope and grow.
Overall, I cannot recommend Ashlee enough. I have urged friends to schedule sessions with her, and they have nothing but good things to say.

Pathways Professional Counseling’s teamwork-centric approach piqued our interest. We inquired about it, and they patiently explained how they work with professionals from other industries to help with growth and development.
For instance, clients have shared how fond they were of the life coaches their counsellors matched them with, stating that it made their progress even faster and more effective.
The centre is also partnered with the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to provide more integrated, holistic care.
We also liked how Pathway Professional Counseling focuses on individualistic recovery, targeting each client’s specific needs, from depression to anxiety, etc. Our interviewees also shared how they genuinely felt listened to during their sessions.
Previous clients also stated that they chose this centre because of its flexibility, as it offered both in-person and telehealth consultations.
The only downside our interviewees pointed out is the office’s occasional unresponsiveness, especially during initial inquiries. Furthermore, we’ve heard miscommunications regarding scheduling.
