It’s no secret that love alone isn’t what holds a relationship together—choice and mutual understanding matter just as much.
I was talking to my sister about a friend struggling in his marriage, and she joked that he could either be Mariah Carey belting My All or Gotye singing Somebody That I Used to Know. Funny as it sounded, the message was clear: you either work on it, or you don’t.
That’s why my team and I reviewed the best marriage counseling services in Oklahoma City. Keep reading to see which one can help you work through conflict, communicate better, and rebuild your relationship.
How much does marriage counseling cost in Oklahoma City?
Marriage counseling in Oklahoma City typically costs about $120 to $250 per session for in-person or virtual therapy with a licensed counselor. Some may also offer sliding-scale options.
1. New Vision Counseling and Consulting

Address: 11209 N May Ave
Phone: +1 405-921-7776
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 8 AM – 12 PM
It’s nice to see how New Vision Counseling and Consulting seamlessly blends evidence-based therapeutic techniques with a biblical worldview. This helps couples tackle challenges within a faith-based context, which we noticed, many clients seek and find grounding.
We all know that couples have their own stories and issues, so we appreciate that they take the time to understand your situation and tailor a plan as needed.
It’s also worth mentioning that they have a range of specialty services that can aid and help with marriage therapy for more comprehensive care. Think premarital counseling, family support, and help with anxiety or trauma.
Their online counseling sessions are also a big plus, especially if traveling is too much of a hassle.
But it’s a bummer that they don’t accept all insurance plans, and pricing isn’t readily available, so you’ll have to be vocal about your budget. On the bright side, we love that they’re open on Saturdays—a win for couples with busy weekday schedules.
Learning to communicate as a couple
“Amber at New Vision providing thoughtful, patient counseling for us. Amber was professional in providing her perspective of any concerns we presented. We both appreciated her personal experiences being included in our counseling, and the best part of that was her thoughtful consideration in asking permission to do so. Learning to communicate as a couple is a lifelong lesson and we will be forever grateful for the tools we were given to begin our journey. Thank you, Amber.”

2. Joshua Nichols, MS, LMFT

Address: 10400 Vineyard Blvd Suite A
Phone: +1 405-242-5305
Business hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 9 AM – 5 PM
- Friday: 9 AM – 3 PM
Joshua Nichols is great with first impressions, especially given his strong professional credentials and affiliations. You see, he holds a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and even served on the Oklahoma Association for Marriage and Family Therapy board.
You could tell marriage counseling is his niche. On top of that, we like that he has additional certification as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, making him skilled at helping couples navigate infidelity, betrayal, trauma, and intimacy challenges.
Beyond the usual one-on-one therapy, it’s also neat that he offers seminars like “The 5 Myths of Marriage” and other educational resources. We appreciate how these help couples have a deeper insight into stepping up for the better.
Lastly, we’re glad that he accepts some insurance plans, making his services more accessible. Just note that they’re closed on weekends, so you’ll have to set aside some time within your weekday schedule.

3. Marriage Solutions

Address: 701 Cedar Lake Blvd. Ste 143
Phone: +1 405-237-9697
Business hours: Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
What we like most about Marriage Solutions is that they primarily specialize in relationship and couples therapy, which means every method they use is built around strengthening partnerships. Plus, they have a team of LMFTs and LPCs who have worked with many couples.
So, it’s no surprise that they can help address many issues, such as communication, infidelity, recovery, parenting differences, sexual concerns, and financial stress. We find their methods to be practical, especially since they really tackle complex real-world problems.
Here’s a thoughtful touch we love: if you’re the only one present, they also offer tools and guidance you can use to work on relationship dynamics. It makes their sessions more flexible and accessible.
On the flipside, they aren’t accessible on weekends because they’re closed. Still, they’re communicative and accommodating, so setting up a suitable appointment is easy.
And if you’re not yet ready to reach out, you can take advantage of their free online orientation to check out if they’re a good fit for you.

4. Evanescence Counseling

Address: 2932 NW 122nd St Suite 5
Phone: +1 405-367-9190
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 2 PM
Evanescence Counseling can probably bring your marriage back to life, considering how their sessions are provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s and specialized training in marriage and family therapy.
We love how inviting they are as well; they explicitly welcome all lifestyles, including monogamous, open, and LGBTQ+ relationships. They create a safe and comfortable environment, free of judgment.
Another thing that caught our attention is their support for relational intimacy issues. So, you can reach out to them for sex therapy and educational workshops to help you create a deeper connection and address intimacy issues.
And if you’re not too sure how counseling in general works, their free initial consultation is a good place to start.
Here’s the thing, though: their marriage counseling services aren’t covered by insurance and won’t be billed to insurance. So you’ll have to pay for your sessions out-of-pocket.
Regardless, we can’t deny that they’re a solid pick for you if you’re working on your marriage, especially if you want a holistic approach to relationship and mental health.
Creates a safe space
“Charity has been incredible for my wife and me. She creates a safe space where we can talk openly about things we never thought we could. She’s warm, understanding, and never judgmental. Her insight has helped us rebuild trust, improve communication, and reconnect on every level. We’re so grateful for her and can’t recommend her enough.”

5. A New Day Counseling, Inc.

Address: 13909 Technology Dr Suite A1
Phone: +1 405-708-6331
Business hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 10 AM – 2 PM
A New Day Counseling, Inc. is led by Ashlee Day, a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor with years of experience with couples.
One of the things we noticed is that their therapy emphasizes understanding patterns and building skills that promote lasting relationship health rather than just talking and reliving problems.
We also like how they accommodate couples, even though only one shows up for the session. What’s nice about this is that it supports individual growth that can reinforce the relationship indirectly.
Their structured couples workshop program is another thing worth highlighting. They call it “Foundations,” where couples use evidence-based tools like Prepare/Enrich to help improve communication and connection in a group or private setting.
Now, be mindful of your time and appointment, since their cancellation policy is strict, where you have to pay the full cost of the session or at least $50. But hey, we have to give them props for helping lots of marriages get back on their feet.
Superb counselor
“ANDC is awesome! Ashlee is a superb counselor that always maintains a friendly, yet professional demeanor. If you are looking for a relaxed, comfortable place to grow while working through life’s great struggles, this is it!”
