We once walked out of a massage session wondering how therapists make such precise techniques look effortless.
That curiosity turned into a late-night search with friends, asking where those skills are actually learned—and whether it’s something we could add to our own toolkit.
The more we looked, the more we realized massage therapy training blends anatomy knowledge with hands-on practice in ways most people don’t see. It’s not just about relaxation; it’s a craft built through structured learning from a trusted coach.
So we explored massage schools around Oklahoma City to see which institutions stand out for aspiring therapists. Read on to discover programs that help students turn interest into a practical, career-ready skill.
How much does the tuition fee in a massage school in Oklahoma City cost?

1. Soul Core Wellness For Life

Address: 1900 Northwest Expy Suite R206
Phone: +14053139119
Business Hours: Monday to Sunday – 10 AM to 6 PM
What fascinated us about Soul Core Wellness For Life was how intentionally they blend hands-on massage training with a strong holistic wellness philosophy.
Established in 2021, they offer structured educational tracks, including a 600-hour Fundamentals of Therapeutic Massage and a 250-hour Advanced MBLEx/Intern Program.
We were particularly impressed by their depth of instruction in anatomy, physiology, and practical techniques. They don’t just teach the mechanics—they provide a clear understanding of how therapeutic massage affects the body.
Students consistently describe the learning environment as personal and supportive. They mentioned that their instructors prioritize active mentoring over simple, dry lecturing.
It’s also worth noting that because the school also operates a professional wellness practice, students benefit from direct, real-world exposure to client interactions.
If there’s one minor drawback, it’s the limited parking space during peak hours.
Compassionate instructors
“Excellent atmosphere and Angela is the best! She is educated, experienced and most of all, compassionate!!”

Top-notch massage and wellness facility
“Soul Core is a top-notch massage and wellness facility in OKC! The environment is clean, cozy, and inviting. Angela, the owner, is an amazing massage therapist. She is extremely knowledgeable and always knows exactly what I need. She cares about her clients and is passionate in her role of helping people feel better and relax.”

2. Oklahoma College of Massage Therapy

Address: 1414 Cypress Dr, Weatherford
Phone: +14053431663
Business Hours:
- Monday to Thursday – 10 AM to 4 PM
- Friday to Sunday – 11 AM to 10 PM
Since 2004, the Oklahoma College of Massage Therapy has built a reputation on structure and consistency. Their 650-hour certification program includes 150 clinical hours and extensive hands-on training, with multiple start dates throughout the year.
We were impressed by the transparency of their admissions team, who clearly outlined the program structure and the operations of their student clinic.
It’s also reassuring to see that their courses are OBPVS-approved, meeting the rigorous standards set by the state.
Their on-site public clinic is a major highlight, as it gives students vital, unsupervised experience with real clients before they even graduate.
Based on the results we’ve seen, this school’s focus on high-quality training is clearly paying off. Their graduates are consistently hired by top-tier spas, medical offices, and even professional sports teams.
That said, it’s worth noting that this is a highly structured, classroom-heavy program. This also means that the tuition reflects the intensity of the instruction, which translates to higher fees, and the scheduling is less flexible than at some other institutions.
Knowledgeable team
“Excellent massage and knowledge of how to do everything.”
– Easton Page, Google Review
Amazing and talented students
“Absolutely love these guys! I’ve been using them for years. Students are amazing and willing to not only learn but listen to your wants and needs. I highly suggest them!!”

3. Myotherapy Center Of Oklahoma

Address: 24778 190th St, Purcell
Phone: +14052749986
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 9 AM to 7:30 PM
- Saturday – 9 AM to 1 PM
When a school is founded by a pro with 35+ years of clinical experience, we pay attention.
Myotherapy Center of Oklahoma may have opened its school division in 2024, but its foundation dates back to 1999. This long-term hands-on background shapes the way they teach.
Their 800-hour massage therapy course runs over 28 weeks, which is more extensive compared to other institutions. Standard programs only require 500 to 600 hours of supervised classroom and hands-on instruction.
Upon reviewing their curriculum, we were able to see that classes move quickly into the hands-on technique from day one rather than staying theoretical for weeks.
It’s also impressive that their instructors include medical professionals such as physicians and EMTs for portions of the coursework.
Their students described the mentorship style as direct, practical, and deeply invested in long-term career success. They also mentioned that this institution appears small, yet it suits career changers and non-traditional learners.
That said, there is a $50 fee for a makeup session in case a student misses a class.
Gave their students the confidence to succeed
“Graduating from Myotherapy Center of Oklahoma gave me the massage therapy education, hands-on skills, and professional confidence needed to succeed. Highly recommend for future massage therapists.”

Way more hands-on than other institutions
“I am a recent graduate from MTCO and I will say it was the best decision I could have made choosing this program. Barb and Dean want nothing more than to see you succeed and be the best therapist you can be! The environment they create is extremely welcoming and allow you to feel at ease through the entirety of the course. The program is definitely difficult but they are with you every step of the way. With the class sizes being smaller (3-5 students), it is way more hands on than other programs with 30+ students. They move through the program at your pace and if you need extra help on a subject they are more than willing to do so. I feel more than prepared to start out on my own on this new endeavor, so thank you to MTCO!”

4. Clary Sage College

Address: 3131 S Sheridan Rd, Tulsa
Phone: +19182988200
Business Hours:
- Monday to Thursday – 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM
- Friday – 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
We couldn’t ignore Clary Sage College given its long-standing reputation for career education across beauty and wellness fields. It’s a well-established institution that has trained countless professionals in the region.
Before anything else, however, it’s worth noting that the school maintains a Christian-centred foundation. As such, this may not align with everyone’s expectations in a government-loan-supported institution.
On the bright side, their massage therapy program goes beyond basic Swedish training and layers in deep tissue, sports massage, prenatal work, and more.
It was also interesting to see how their curriculum discusses detailed anatomy and kinesiology coursework.
Students move through focused weekly classes, which several current enrollees described as intense but structured.
From what we observed, the training clinic gives students real client exposure at affordable rates, including a veteran discount. Their clients often mention that therapists-in-training communicate clearly and check in frequently during sessions.
Overall, the program feels comprehensive and career-driven, especially for those comfortable with its faith-based environment.
Instructors are extremely helpful
“I currently attend Clary Sage for their Massage Therapy program. I have been enrolled since October 2017. I moved here specifically to go to this school. I looked at an overwhelming amount of colleges through out the U.S. before deciding on Clary. The instructors here are extremely helpful and the educational benefits of attending here are amazing! Each class is a week long so be prepared to study your butt off and ready to learn. I have had medical issues and other things come up causing me to have to reschedule some classes but every one, especially Derek Ball has gone above and beyond to help me succeed. So greatful for the staff here. They really make you feel welcome and cared about.”

Comes with a great team of massage therapists
“They have a great team of massage therapists! They come from Community Care College, a fantastic school for massage therapy in my opinion. There are some massage therapists who are more skilled than others though, that’s not to say that you are likely to get a bad massage when you come, just that you are dealing with students and they are still learning. If you give them the right information they need to cater to your massage, you are guaranteed to get what you asked and paid for. They are extremely professional, trained, and freshly educated. I would recommend a massage here to anyone! Maybe not some of the more experienced, (those who get massages often, or who have higher expectations.) although, I feel like those expectations could still be met by many of the students here. I can proudly say that they will definitely surprise you with their skills, especially for being so new in the massage therapy world! And to top it off, the prices are super affordable!
GO TO CLARY SAGE AND GET ONE! Whether it’s for yourself, or a gift for a family friend, or your mom, dad, brother, sister, or your special someone. I think you’ll be surprised.”

5. Praxis College

Address: 8900 N Western Ave
Phone: +14058790224
Business Hours:
- Tuesday, Thursday – 10 AM to 7 PM
- Friday to Saturday – 10 AM to 5 PM
We included Praxis College on our list because its tuition model immediately stood out.
Instead of traditional student loans, the school states that Oklahoma-based corporations fund the program. With this, students receive a weekly stipend from clinic revenue during training.
The curriculum is organized into four main modalities: Asian, Athletic, Energy, and Mind-Body. It also covers seven core modules, including professional topics like language, business, and protocols to help students grasp the bigger picture.
They have four levels of mastery: associate technician, apprentice, craftsman, and master. The associate technician requires 500 hours of training, while subsequent levels require 1,000 hours each to provide a competitive edge.
The school offers a nontraditional approach that students find respectful and rewarding. While responses to inquiries can be slow, those who are patient and serious will find themselves exceptionally well-equipped for the industry.
They will do everything right for their students
“I am a new student to the program but so far I have felt extremely valued, seen, respected and welcomed from the start here. The values they insist upon from the get go are highly respectable and they do not waiver in their principles. They will do everything right by their students and it is appreciated in return! I am excited to follow through their program and anyone accepted in, I hope they see the opportunity given to them and how lucky they are too! There is so much history and knowledge here for those ready to be a part of the next class of knowledgeable therapists.”
– Mrs. Clumsy Brown, Google Review
Learning with them feels holistic
“I chose Praxis Massage school because its philosophy genuinely reflects my core values – health, ethics, self-responsibility, and caring for others. The approach to education feels intentional and holistic, emphasizing, not only skill-building, but also personal integrity and respect for the work. I especially appreciate the flexibility of the program, which makes it possible to balance life, learning, and personal growth. The environment supports both professional development and personal responsibility, which was very important to me when choosing a school.”
