Clients we spoke with shared how easy it was to gel with their planner due to their exceptional relationship-building skills, making each wedding feel more personal. 

The team is helmed by Mikaela Garrison, who found love in wedding planning after planning her own wedding. She does an excellent job of reporting regularly to couples and providing suggestions based on their preferences, budget limitations, and overall desired theme.

We also admire how she and her team are connected with numerous reputable vendors, from photographers to caterers, etc. Furthermore, they’re able to organize these vendors in a strict timeline, which is a testament to the team’s time management skills.

Although the smaller team means more personalized attention, it could also affect their availability, especially during peak wedding season.

We also spoke to their previous clients, who shared that they were able to achieve their vision because of the team’s close collaboration. They also noted that the team genuinely seeks their clients’ input to base their designs around them.

Clients also praise for never failing to meet deadlines, even tight ones. Furthermore, they do an excellent job of communicating promptly and clearly, whether it’s regarding last-minute changes or the overall progress of the design stage.

Our only gripe is that they’re mostly focused on design planning, which could mean that clients would need to hire additional teams for logistics, vendor coordination, etc. Still, our interviewees noted that Events by Suad was their top pick because of its high-end, glamorous designs.

Blair Sims Events has been around for over a decade, and this tenure has granted her team extensive organizational and event management skills. 

For starters, previous clients we spoke to shared how seamless their weddings were because of the team’s careful coordination with logistics and vendors. Furthermore, events run smoothly thanks to Blair’s attention to detail and time management.

They offer flexible planning packages as well, but clients shared that even the partial planning package feels like 24/7 guidance. It includes essential tasks such as meetings, event designs, vendors, and day-of coordination, which helped a ton.

As for the full-planning package, it’s a close collaboration from start to finish, with added services like venue selection, budget construction, etc.

We also like how the company is well-connected with reliable vendors. Our interviewees stated that they ended up with the best florists, photographers, caterers, and even venues, because Blair and her team considered their preferences and budget.

The only setback we noticed was that Blair Sims Events isn’t accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB), which some couples may look for during their research.

“Blair was the best decision I made regarding my entire wedding process. Despite where or what it looked like, Blair would have gotten it done in the exact same way: polished, on time, and exactly how I envisioned.

She took all of my ideas and made them better. She is super connected and vetted in the wedding world, so I trusted her with every single little thing as I knew she had seen it, heard of it, or knew how to make it happen.

We feel like the last one should be highlighted more because it’s extremely handy for couples to speak to their coordinators during these exciting yet stressful times. Our interviewees even mentioned that the team picks up the call even after business hours.

On top of their full-service and month-of coordination, they offer extra services, like wedding showers, after-parties, and rehearsal dinners. They can also provide and deliver customized guest baskets.

We also saw their portfolio of designed reception and ceremony venues, and we immediately noticed how polished and elegant they were. 

Clients also shared how easy it was to come up with the final design, as the team made sure to stick to their vision while also recommending better changes.

The only thing we’re iffy about is that even though the company has been around for over 25 years, the amount of public feedback available online is quite limited.

We want to include Embellished Weddings because of their 17+ years of experience and their strong focus on weddings rather than being an all-around event planner. 

We’ve also seen their previous works, and they all looked elevated. This is a testament to their design team, whom clients shared as being extremely creative while keeping their best interests in mind to turn their vision into reality.

It’s also admirable how the company offers large teams for every wedding, with each member playing a different role for a more seamless workflow. Some of the tasks they assist with include budget management, designing, and vendor curation.

Couples we spoke to also mentioned how their planners granted them peace of mind during stressful times, and even made the overall process enjoyable.

Although this doesn’t make them the best choice for partial planning, such as month-of and day-of coordination, they make sure that everything goes smoothly from start to finish.
