Our interviewees recommended Jeremy Doorn for his extended availability for his clients, even during weekends. They added that they could always count on Doorn to respond within minutes, even after the usual business hours, and even accommodate late requests.
We also admire Doorn’s proactiveness with his clients, as he always provides financial insights that help businesses grow rather than just filing taxes and meeting deadlines. Our interviewees even stated that his proactive nature has impacted their annual profits various times.
His proactiveness also lends to him creating trust between himself and his clients. Speaking of, he handles both business and personal finance, making him knowledgeable about business and sole-entrepreneur taxes.
Clients we spoke to also shared that they chose Doorn for his clear communication skills, who often translate complex terms into digestible information.
Although we appreciate the variety of his and his team’s specialties, Core Group isn’t a CPA firm, meaning that they’re unable to sign off on regulatory filings, high-level attest services, etc.

Working with the rest of his team isn’t so bad, as they’re all CPA certified. Plus, they specialize in different tasks.
He and his team also offer a full suite of services, including bookkeeping, tax preparation and planning, payroll, and consultations.
We spoke to clients he handled personally, and the consensus was positive, with most people stating that Shatley made filing taxes seamless thanks to his smooth workflow. They attribute this to his quick response times, clear communication, and hands-on guidance.
Clients we spoke to, also admire Shatley’s knowledge. They stated that he’s able to provide insights into individual tax returns, small-business accounting, and other complex financial situations.

Furthermore, clients mentioned that he always takes the time to understand their goals and needs rather than just offering a cookie-cutter response and strategy. It also helps that he’s had extensive industry-specific experience, from real estate to construction, etc.
We also want to include Woodie and his firm because of their broad area of specialization, offering services from tax planning and preparation to bookkeeping.
Another factor we noticed during our interviews was that they’ve been working with JJ Woodie for several years now, which is a testament to their relationship-building skills.
As impressed as we are with their portfolio, however, we can’t help but be iffy regarding their lack of a BBB accreditation.

Robin Harris’ biggest edge is that she’s a licensed enrolled agent, meaning that she’s authorized to do tasks regular accountants can’t. These include representing clients before the IRS and negotiating with tax authorities, which are handy for businesses with back taxes.
We also spoke to her previous clients, who shared that they felt at ease with Harris because of her masterful handling of audits, collections, and disputes. Furthermore, they added that she is very informative, whether it be regarding misleading claims, tax resolution, etc.
Clients we spoke to also mentioned feeling genuinely cared for by Harris due to her preventive services, as she supports businesses with tax planning to keep them out of trouble.
Moreover, Harris always keeps her lines open for her clients, even after the usual operating hours.
With her expertise, however, we don’t recommend her for smaller tasks, as we feel like clients will be overpaying.

We want to include Taylor Dollens because she’s one of those accountants who look after the smaller guys, like start-ups and entrepreneurs. Her business model is built around supporting them by offering an all-in-one solution, including tax strategy, bookkeeping, and consulting.
She also ticks several boxes of what a client would want from an accountant, including being accessible at all times. Clients we spoke to stated that she’s always able to provide detailed questions, whether they want something cleared up.
Our interviewees also noted that they never felt more confident with their finances when Taylor laid out their monthly financial reports in incredible detail.
It’s also impressive how well-rounded her services are, offering business formation and advisory as well, on top of her usual bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
The only thing we’re iffy about is the slightly limited feedback available to the public. However, her CPA credentials and nationwide recognition were enough for us to trust in her capabilities.
