1. Chisholm Creek Academy

Website: https://www.chisholmcreekacademy.org/
Address: 8701 N Kelley Avenue
Contact: (572) 205-8723
Hours: Five-day school week; drop-off starts at 8:00 AM and dismissal is at 3:30 PM
At Chisholm Creek Academy, you can expect a learner-driven Primary Studio that begins at age four.
This program uses both the Montessori system and learning through play. This is fantastic for building fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, classroom routines, and behavior foundations.
Children choose from predetermined work options, set simple goals, and take increasing responsibility for their space and work. Plus, there’s a no-homework policy.
Classes are small and learning plans are individualized, allowing teachers to support different learning paces. They even use rolling admissions so parents can send applications any time.
Just note that this is a blended-age Primary Studio rather than a conventional standalone kindergarten class. Families who prefer a same-age group and a more teacher-directed daily structure may find the approach less familiar.

We have 2 children in elementary and 1 in primary
Our family loves Chisholm Creek Academy! We were homeschooling all 3 of our children until we decided to enroll them into CCA last fall. We were nervous at first but it has been an incredible experience all around. We have 2 children in elementary and 1 in primary. All 3 have exceeded our expectations in their development this year. They are more responsible, learning how to manage their own goals and time / effort to achieve them, and gaining people / leadership skills that they didn’t have as a homeschool family…

We truly can’t imagine a better place for him
Our 5-year-old son has been attending Chisholm Creek Academy since the fall of 2024, and we truly can’t imagine a better place for him. From day one, it was clear that this school was something special. The blend of freedom, Socratic discussions, hands-on Montessori principles, and a learner-driven approach has completely transformed his relationship with learning.

2. Christian Heritage Academy

Address: 4400 SE 27th Street, Del City
Contact: (405) 672-1787
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
If you’re searching for an education that aligns closely with your family values, Christian Heritage Academy is worth a look. They provide a program that blends phonics and math patterning with poetry, geography, history, science, and the arts.
Students will learn music and physical education, so the day reaches beyond reading and math.
Another important part is the school’s readiness guidance for families, perfect when deciding whether a child is prepared for kindergarten.
You should know that daily bible instruction and weekly chapel are woven into the school model, which gives the program a clear faith-centered identity.
While that may be exactly what some families want, parents looking for a secular or religiously neutral kindergarten will need to consider another option.

The busing option from there to the local elementary schools
…From the first day the teachers and staff are all kind and inclusive, which was important as our children were transitioning in the middle of the school year from a different state. Their fitting in was seamless which we were grateful for, as it helped with establishing routine for them. They have an amazing Pre-K curriculum that my daughter enjoys and looks forward to, and the busing option from there to the local elementary schools in the explorer’s program helps with facilitating the single drop off and pick up for parents…

4. American Academy National Home School

Website: https://www.nationalhomeschool.com/
Address: 3616 SW 119th Street
Contact: (405) 691-8012
Hours: Flexible homeschool schedule
American Academy National Home School provides a structured education without asking parents to build the full kindergarten year from scratch.
Their Christian program includes four quarterly teacher manuals with day-to-day lesson plans and practical tools. This way, families will have more control over pace, routine, and daily involvement.
We also like that parents receive training from the academy. Plus, the academy provides curriculum materials, audits completed tests, maintains academic records, and offers support by phone, email, or in the office.
Their curriculum focuses on phonics-based early reading, letter sounds, blending, and syllables. These are all designed to build strong foundational literacy skills before primary school.
Just know that this requires consistent adult involvement. A parent or designated adult needs to monitor and supervise the child’s learning program each day, which may not be for everyone.
5. Crossings Christian School

If your child thrives in a structured day filled with engaging subjects, you should look at Crossings Christian School. They run a full-day Christian kindergarten with bible instruction, phonics-based language arts, math, hands-on science, and fine arts.
Their language arts resources are impressive, including Saxon Phonics and Handwriting Without Tears, a research-based curriculum to develop fine motor skills.
To top it off, they provide parents with much-needed flexibility. The standard school day runs from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, with optional care extending the supervised day from 7:45 AM to 5:30 PM.
Enrollment requirements are important, though. At least one parent must affirm a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ and local church involvement.
