We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Pediatric Speech Scope: We compared each clinic’s services across speech, language, fluency, social communication, feeding, swallowing, literacy, and augmentative communication needs. Evaluation & Treatment Format: We looked at evaluation methods, one-to-one therapy, intensive programs, group sessions, school contracts, and typical appointment lengths to see how each clinic delivers care. Access & Multidisciplinary Support: We considered clinic, home, daycare, school, community, virtual, and hybrid options. We also checked for related services such as occupational, physical, and feeding therapy when available. Family & Practical Fit: Finally, we checked caregiver training, home activities, age limits, insurance participation, referral requirements, office hours, wait-list information, and other factors that could affect access to care.

Finding your voice in a busy city like Oklahoma can be tough, especially if you struggle with communication.

Maybe you’re a parent preparing your toddler for preschool, or an adult trying to get your speech back after a health setback. Either way, the right support can make all the difference.

That’s why we looked into local options, focusing on clinics that put patients first and deliver real results. Now here’s our guide to the best speech therapists in Oklahoma to help you or your loved ones communicate better!

How much does a speech therapy session cost in Oklahoma?

In Oklahoma, paying for a private speech therapy session generally costs between $100 and $250 USD out of pocket per hour, though insurance and university clinics can reduce this expense.

Service / Visit TypeCost Range (USD)
Initial Evaluation$150–$400
60-Minute Session$100–$250
30-Minute Session$60–$175
Teletherapy — Online$50–$150
University Clinics$20–$75

Private speech-therapy costs vary by evaluation type, session length, provider, insurance coverage, and whether services are delivered through a university or school program.

1. Speech Pathway

Website: https://speechpathway.net/

Address: 8007 NW 122nd St
Contact: (405) 603-6622 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–7:00 PM

Many parents feel overwhelmed when a child misses early communication milestones. Speech Pathway combines speech-language evaluations with intensive intervention and peer-based communication groups.

Their services cover articulation, childhood apraxia of speech, phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and more.

To make getting started easier, they offer free screenings and clinic tours. Individualized intensive programs can also include repeated daily sessions and caregiver training.

We spoke with a client who toured the clinic last month, and they said the team gave caregivers clear routines to use at home.

However, paying out of pocket is the quickest option, as insurance processing can take longer. And if you pay privately for a service, you can’t later submit that completed service to insurance for reimbursement.

Pros

  • Broad evaluation scope
  • Free initial screening and clinic tour
  • Intensive intervention
  • Peer communication groups

Cons

  • Insurance processing takes longer
  • Private-pay services can’t be reimbursed

She loves going to speech therapy

My daughter started Speech Therapy here with Mr. Kirk and, she and I, could not be more happy with everything! Mr. Kirk is amazing!! My daughter loves him and how he interacts with her and talks to her, and she loves going to speech therapy. He makes it’s fun and engaging and she gets so upset when their sessions are up. If she could go to speech everyday, she would! Thank you Mr. Kirk for being an amazing speech therapist!!! I will forever recommend him!!!

Coordinating different therapies across town can drain a family’s energy, which makes OKC Speech LLC a wonderful option for multidisciplinary pediatric care.

The practice offers one-to-one speech-language and feeding therapy, along with occupational and physical therapy, across their three clinics.

They also provide care in both English and Spanish through multilingual therapists, on-site Spanish interpreters, and Spanish intake forms.

For families using insurance, the clinic lists SoonerCare/Medicaid, Sooner Select plans, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma. Still, confirm your coverage and authorization before treatment.

Just keep in mind that they ask families to get a referral from their child’s primary care physician before the comprehensive evaluation.

And since the practice focuses on pediatric care, adults needing speech therapy will need another provider.

I saw tremendous progress in pronunciation

Stephanie did such a wonderful job working with our 5 year old! Over the course of a year, I saw tremendous progress in pronunciation, so much so she has now graduated from speech therapy. The most amazing thing was that Stephanie was willing to travel to the daycare and then kindergarten, which helped our schedules so much! Thank you!
