5 Best Photography Studios in Oklahoma for Standout Photos

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Equipment and Lighting Options: We evaluated the range of lighting gear and backdrops available at each studio. Having strong strobes and versatile continuous lights can help photographers execute more complex creative projects.

Space Flexibility and Layout: We looked closely at floor space, layout, and accessibility for props or larger groups. A great studio provides enough room for comfortable shooting and smooth workflow management.

Booking and Accessibility: We checked how easy it is to schedule sessions, enter the facility, and park. Clear reservation systems and straightforward entry arrangements save valuable time for both clients and production crews.

Overall Value for Money: We compared published hourly rates and package prices against the included amenities where available.

My posing experience pretty much begins and ends with photo booth rentals, so stepping into a proper studio feels like serious business.

The space matters more than I realized. Good lighting and the right backdrop can save you from doing gymnastics with angles later.

I checked out several spots around Oklahoma City to find the best photography studio in Oklahoma without making things overly complicated. These standouts make booking easy and give you enough flexibility to actually enjoy the shoot.

1. Foto Loft4

Website

Address: 107 NE 3rd St, Suite A

Contact: [email protected]

Hours: Thursday, 2 PM-8 PM; Friday, noon-8 PM; Saturday, 10 AM-8 PM; Sunday, 10 AM-6 PM

Foto Loft is a fun pick if you’d rather skip the photographer hovering behind the camera. You control the shots yourself with a wireless remote while a live-view screen helps you check every pose.

The $100 session covers up to two people, eight retouched digital images, and two 5-by-7 prints. You can go full-body with black or white backdrops, or choose from several brighter colors for half-body portraits.

I like that the whole process feels private and low-pressure, especially if you’re a little awkward in front of a lens. Pets can join too, though there’s an extra fee for bringing them.

The catch is that only about 20 minutes of the hour is actual shooting time.

The rest goes to choosing, editing, and printing, so showing up late can really eat into your camera time.

Pros

  • Private self-portrait setup with wireless remote
  • Live-view screen makes posing easier
  • $100 session includes edited digital files and prints
  •
  • Pets are allowed for an extra fee

Cons

  • Only about 20 minutes are spent actually taking photos (late arrivals cut into the scheduled session time)

“The private studio gave us plenty of space”

What a fun experience! We laughed so much and quickly realized we’re terrible at posing, but we enjoyed every awkward moment. The private studio gave us plenty of space, and the lighting and multiple backdrops made it easy to capture great photos. We loved being able to take our own pictures at our own pace. Highly recommend!

“Good quality & professional headshots”

I love how easy & fast it was to get good quality & professional headshots! i liked that you get to be in the room by yourself so you don’t have to feel awkward in front of a photographer you don’t know! They were so helpful with deciding on which photos to select! I will definitely be back!

2. Studio V by Scott Vo Photography

Website

Address: 4229 Royal Ave, Suite 106

Contact: (405) 664-9124 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 10 AM-6 PM

Note: These are walk-in hours for film-processing pickup and drop-off. Studio tours require an appointment.

Studio V feels built for shoots that need more elbow room than a spare bedroom can offer. The roughly 3,000-square-foot space gives photographers plenty of room to spread out, change setups, and keep a crew moving.

I like the mix of natural and controlled lighting here, thanks to north-facing frosted-glass bay doors and blackout blinds.

There’s a dressing room, lounge, kitchenette, and waiting area too, which makes longer sessions feel less bare-bones.

Lighting gear, power packs, and backdrops are available, though some come with extra rental fees. On-site film processing, scanning, and printing give the place an old-school-meets-modern edge.

The catch is the commitment: photography rentals start at $200 for two hours, with a 50% nonrefundable deposit.

Setup and teardown count toward your booked time, so bigger productions may need to reserve longer.

Pros

  • Spacious 3,000-square-foot studio
  • Natural light plus blackout control
  • Dressing room, lounge, kitchenette, and waiting area
  •
  • On-site film processing, scanning, and printing
  • Assistance available during shoots

Cons

  •
  • 50% nonrefundable deposit required
  •
  • Some equipment and backdrops cost extra

“The studio was beautiful and a pleasure to work in”

I used Studio V for a three-day 30-client portrait shoot. Whew. The studio was beautiful and a pleasure to work in. Fully prepared. Stellar equipment. Scott had everything I needed. He anticipated my challenges and made my grueling shoot so easy. He has curated a creative space that is so comfortable to work in. Scott is knowledgeable and professional. Knows his stuff. I adored him. I will be back.

“His studio is massive, and he can accommodate any kind of client”

Scott Vo is the most professional, courteous, and talented photographer I’ve ever met. He is incredibly accommodating and always makes his clients feel comfortable. His studio is massive, and he can accommodate any kind of client. He even has a coffee and snack bar, which I’m a sucker for! Scott is willing to go out of his way to make sure you get the exact look you’re aiming for. I will definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a photographer or a space to shoot!

3. Black And White Photography OKC

Website

Address: 9210 S Western Ave, Suite A20

Contact: (405) 328-9349 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 4 PM-8 PM; Friday, 4 PM-11:30 PM; Saturday, 8 AM-11:30 PM; Sunday, 8 AM-5:30 PM

Black And White Photography OKC feels geared toward families who want milestone photos without anything too stiff or overproduced.

Viri’s style leans simple and natural, with candid moments mixed into the more polished shots.

The studio covers maternity, newborn, family, smash-cake, and quinceañera sessions. I especially like the range of smash-cake backdrops, since those shoots can go from sweet to gloriously chaotic pretty fast.

Some quinceañera packages get quite comprehensive, with edited images, online galleries, prints, pre-sessions, video coverage, and payment plans.

Selected options can even include hair and makeup, which takes one more thing off the planning list.

The main catch is that this isn’t advertised as a standalone rental studio. Freelance photographers wanting only the room or equipment may need a more rental-focused space.

Pros

  • Covers maternity, newborn, family, smash-cake, and quinceañera sessions
  • Simple, natural photography style
  •
  • Some quinceañera packages include prints and video coverage
  • Payment plans available for selected packages
  • Hair and makeup included with some quinceañera packages

Cons

  • No standalone studio rental is advertised
  • Not the best fit for photographers who only need a room or equipment

“The use of natural lighting in her photography is beautiful”

I highly recommend Black and White Photography. Viri is professional, creative, experienced (10yrs+), outgoing, and very kind! She will do everything possible to reach your desired outcome. She has a lot of patience with children and directs her clients well. The use of natural lighting in her photography is beautiful. You will not be disappointed with her work! She also speaks Spanish and English.

“Viri captured authentic photos of myself for my headshots”

Viri captured authentic photos of myself for my headshots with excellent turnaround time and communication. I plan to use her photography service for professional projects and family. She was patient, helpful, and the photo quality was perfect. Highly recommend!!!

4. okc.studio

okc-studio-logo

Website

Address: 301 NW 13th St

Contact: [email protected]

Hours: By appointment

okc.studio feels like the kind of place where serious gear gets to come out and play. The 23-by-24-foot space has a white cyclorama wall, sound treatment, and four app-controlled Aputure Nova P300C lights overhead.

The base rental includes stands, grip gear, sandbags, seating, and a wall-mounted monitor.

You can add cameras, lenses, audio kits, paper backdrops, and extra lighting if your shoot needs more muscle.

I like that studio help is nearby if something technical goes sideways. Paid production support is available too, which can be handy when a small crew suddenly needs an extra pair of hands.

The main drawback is the lack of a dedicated changing room or greenroom. It’s appointment-only as well, so this isn’t a studio you can simply wander into on a whim.

Pros

  • White cyclorama wall for clean, seamless shots
  •
  • Sound-treated space for video and audio work
  •
  • Cameras, lenses, audio kits, and backdrops available as add-ons
  • Technical and paid production support available

Cons

  • No dedicated changing room or greenroom
  •
  • Extra equipment and production support cost more

“Control over the lighting on the cyc was seamless and professional”

I rented the space for a small talking head shoot, and the space was perfect! It was so nice only having to bring the essentials because they had thought of everything else. Control over the lighting on the cyc was seamless and professional on their house iPad, and the privacy of the space tucked up and away from the rest of the building was just what we needed. The folks at OKC Studio went above and beyond to make sure we had anything we needed and even helped us load in and out in a snowstorm. Five Stars!

“It had the perfect setup and staff support we needed”

This studio is awesome. It’s perfectly attuned to what we were trying to accomplish. A few interviews at this place made our videos feel super professional (as well as headshots). It had the perfect setup and staff support we needed. Thanks again!

5. Neon Poppy Studios

Website

Address: 6530 NW 36th St, Bethany

Contact: (405) 532-7365 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Sunday, 7 AM-9 PM

Neon Poppy Studios has the kind of bright, cheerful setup that makes plain white walls feel surprisingly exciting. The 1,000-square-foot Bethany studio mixes natural light, colorful details, and styled sets for portraits, branding shoots, and creative projects.

I like that you can check the online Look Book before booking, so there’s less guesswork about what you’re walking into.

The studio lists Godox, AlienBees, and Neewer lighting options for photographers who want more control than sunlight alone can give.

Booking is handled online, with entry instructions sent by email once your reservation is confirmed. That makes the whole process feel pretty straightforward.

The main trade-off is the relatively compact 1,000-square-foot footprint. Bigger productions or elaborate set builds may want to check the layout carefully before reserving.

Pros

  • Bright studio with plenty of natural light
  • Colorful styled sets for varied shoots
  •
  • Godox, AlienBees, and Neewer lighting options
  •
  • Entry instructions sent by email

Cons

  • 1,000-square-foot space may feel tight for bigger productions

“The natural light is great every part of the day”

Absolutely love this space! The natural light is great every part of the day, and all the pieces put together in the studio make for a great photography backdrop! The aesthetic is really color-poppy with stylish accents, and of course I love the NEON lights to play with! Super accessible and affordable, and it was so comfortable coming in to use the space. Highly recommend on those hot/rainy OK days or if you need to add the studio feel to your portraits. Amazing studio!

“The sets are always so creative”

I have shot at this studio countless times and have never been disappointed! The sets are always so creative, while also leaving room for people to experiment with their own ideas. It’s great for professional shoots and creative shoots alike. There’s also a variety of available props and backdrops for a small fee, which makes everything so much easier!! It was even great for hosting a creative content weekend, and the hosts are so accommodating. Always clean, always lovely. Thanks, Neon Poppy!
