But here’s the hitch: they’re only open on weekdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, which can make scheduling tricky after school or work. It’s also worth noting that they don’t offer online scheduling, so those interested will have to call in the old fashioned way.
On the bright side, we appreciate the convenience of paying online, with multiple payment options to choose from. They also offer financing, including in-house financing, traditional dental insurance plans like Cigna, Aetna, and Delta, and third-party financing from CareCredit.

Our favorite thing about Charlotte Emergency Dental is that they’re always ready when you need them. Need care on the weekend, same-day visit, or walk-ins? No problem. Hence, they’re a reliable pick for patients in need of quick relief and don’t want to wait weeks for an appointment.
The clinic isn’t just for emergencies, as they also offer a wide range of general dentistry services like root canals, tooth extractions, dentures, and implants, so it works well as a family-friendly practice.
It’s worth noting that they have 3 dentists on their team, which can sometimes make scheduling tricky, especially for patients with a preferred dentist.
Just a heads up: payment is due at the time of service, though financing through CareCredit is an option. Also, note that they don’t work directly with any insurance plans, so filing claims is up to the patient, but they’ll be able to provide all of the forms needed.

Urban Family Dental is a Charlotte favorite because of how smooth things are. From the moment you step in, you’re assisted by their friendly staff who ensure that you’re taken care of from start to finish.
When it comes to their services, they pretty much cover it all. You’ll find everything, from your standard family dentistry like fluoride treatment and dental imaging to cosmetic dentistry treatments like porcelain veneers and teeth whitening.
Another plus is that they offer emergency dental services, accepting same-day appointments and have an after-hours hotline.
Their website is easy to use too, making bookings and payments pretty straightforward. It also helps that they accept most insurance plans.
Just note that they’re open from Monday to Friday with varying closing times, so it’s worth double-checking ahead. While their business hours are fairly standard, we think it may still be a bit tricky for those trying to book after-work appointments.

He was phenomenal
“I 1st met Dr. Raj at a dental emergency clinic, and he was phenomenal. I neglected my teeth for a long time, because the last dentist I saw caused some damage to my teeth and it caused me to have ptsd. But when I met Dr. Raj, he was so kind, understanding of my anxiety, and took complete care of me. I always said to him that Im just waiting on him to get his own practice. And he finally did!!! Apart from that, we appreciate how much their website has to offer, whether it be booking an appointment or checking out membership plans and special financing options.
Keep in mind that they’re open weekdays only, and with closing times around 3–4 PM, which may make finding a convenient time slot sometimes challenging. On the bright side, they’re known to respond quickly, allowing for easy scheduling of same-week appointments.
Another plus is that they have Spanish-speaking dentists. For curious new patients, we suggest taking a look at their individual “About Me” pages to see who might be the best fit.
